X-C REPORTS Junior

Overview | X-C Report Form

OVERVIEWTop

This facility has been provided to GGC members to notify the flight recorder of cross country flight details. Reporting of cross country details is essential. The GFA requires clubs to forward these details at the end of each soaring season, where they can be used, for example, to support claims for maintaining gliding access to airspace. The club requires details for recording pilot progress and achievements, and for consideration for the Percy Pratt Trophy awarded annually.

The preferred method of notification is still to include the complete details on the flight sheet, though it is recognised that this is not always feasible. In order for the details to be incorporated directly in the clubs records it is essential that details be forwarded promptly, certainly within a week of the flight.

Even after this delay details should be forwarded for the reasons listed above. While they will not be recorded in the clubs accounting system after this time, and hence will not appear in your flight report, a seperate record is kept by the club for the above purposes. The alternative of filling out a cross country report slip, and leaving it in the appropriate box in the clubhouse is still available.
