OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

ControlSettings or Indications
I-SET Sets average indicator to actual vario indication.
TEST Battery test indicated on Instr.2: 2m/s (4 knots) ~ 12Volt.
Speed test indicated on Instr.2: -2.5m/s (5 knots) l00km/h (62mph)
-5.0m/s (10 knots) 141.4km/h (88mph)
DAMPING
  • Pos. l: Low damping
  • Pos. 2: Normal damping
  • Pos. 3: High damping
BALLAST
  • Pos. 0: No ballast
  • Pos. ½: ½ ballast
  • Pos. l: Full ballast
ALARM
  • Pos. 0: No Alarm, Normal Audio.
  • Pos. l: Alarm, Normal Audio.
  • Pos. 2: Alarm, Audio Silenced.
Alarm and silencing of audio only at speeds above approx. l00km/h (62mph) and in AUTO or SC MODE.
MODE
  • I: Average rate of climb on Instr. 2 despite speed.
  • AUTO: Average rate of climb at low speed and speedcommand at high speed.
  • SC: Indicating speedcommand despite speed.

ADJUSTMENT INSTRUCTIONS.

AIRSPEED SIGNAL
  1. Check of zeropoint is carried out before take-off with the wings leveled. Press 'test' button towards 'speed'. Instr.2 should indicate 0. if not adjust So.
  2. At 100km/h (62mph) Instr.2 indicates -2.5m/s (-5 knots) when pressing the 'TEST' button.

 

TE COMPENSATION
  1. Shallow dive from 80km/h (50mph) to 120km/h(75mph).
  2. Observe the vario during the speed change.
    1. Too much sink, turn 'C' clockwise.
    2. Too little sink, turn 'C' counter clockwise.
    3. At satisfied adjustment turn 'Ss' to same value.

 

POLAR COMPENSATION
  1. Check ballast switch in correct position.
  2. Fly at constant speed approx. 160km/h (l00mph).
  3. Vario should indicate -0.8m/s (-1.6 knots) in calm air.
    1. Too much sink, turn 'Ss' clockwise.
    2. Too little sink, turn 'Ss' counter-clockwise.
